ASPIRE Metro recently featured an article discussing how I enjoy the exciting opportunities that come from working on a home from the ground up. It starts by understanding the property and site, understanding the current times we live in and of course understanding a client and their lifestyle.
I recently returned from an exhausting but exciting week in Nantucket. It wasn't a week of sitting on the beach, playing golf and eating ice cream with my grandchildren...that fun is still to come. This week was the culmination of a vision for the J. Butler Collection for the 2013 season. The walls were prepped and painted with this year's Birch Charcoal Gray color, boxes of items I've collected all year were opened, mirrors and triptych artwork was hung, and the vision of modern clean living was completed.
Very soon the cream linen shades will be lifted, the truck will be unloaded and another season at our Nantucket shop, the J. Butler Collection, will begin.
Below is a video clip which will give you a peek into the Bridal Showcase held at the Bernards Inn back in January . I featured several Signature Style tables to showcase various individual styles for a wedding. Creating a Signature event truly speaks to the couple's taste and personality. Once again I enjoyed participating in the show, integrating with other designers, and speaking with many brides and their families.
Two more rooms with fresh personalities have recently been renovated at the Inn. Similar to the recently completed Metro 14 & 15, Rooms 19 and 21 provide the guests with elegance in an efficient space.
